Does the size of library affect software performance?

In the current software structure, Eagle won't really load every original file most of the time. Regardless of the size, every file is identical when it comes to loading/analyzing to Eagle. In conclusion, the "Size" of the file won't affect the software performance, but the “total number" of files can affect software performance.

The main factors that affect Eagle performance are:

  1. Hardware specification
  2. Total number of images
  3. Total number of tags
  4. Total number of folders(almost no impact)

In the current version, Eagle is able to run smoothly and efficiently under a total number of 250,000 saved resources/assets in most cases.
