5. Browsing Videos, GIFs, Audio Files and Fonts

Hello, welcome to episode five. I will be introducing to you the tips for browsing assets apart from images.

Hover Preview

Now, let's focus on the image list. If you want to quickly browse a video, a GIF file or an audio clip, hover your mouse on the file to preview it. You can also move your mouse to a certain point in the progress bar. With this function, you're free from opening every video to check whether it is the one you need.

Video Player

Double-click the video to enter the detailed view mode.

Starting from the left, we have buttons such as play, pause, forward, backward, and the volume button. then, we have playback rate, loop, add note, and fullscreen respectively. Click the "add note" button and you can add notes at a specific timestamp of the video.

Loop a specific part

If you want to loop a specific part of the video, use the indicators on both sides of the progress bar. Drag them to the part you want to loop, and the player will replay this part over and over.

Change video thumbnail

Right-click on the screen and hit "Set as Video Thumbnail". The thumbnail will then be replaced with the current video screen.

If you want to take a screenshot of the video, choose "Copy Current Frame to Clipboard" or "Save Current Frame".

GIF Viewer

Double-click the GIF to enter the Detailed View Mode. Click "View frame by frame" in the upper-right corner to browse the GIF frame by frame. You can drag the progress bar to quickly locate where you want to see more details.

Eagle's GIF Viewer is similar to most video players. You can pause, adjust playback rate, and select a section of the GIF file where you want to loop.

Audio Files

In Eagle, you have access to audio files as well! In the List Mode, Eagle shows the waveforms of the audio clips you've collected. It allows you to efficiently find the sounds you need. Hover your mouse over a file to preview it. Click the progress bar to go to a specific timestamp.

Fonts

Double-click the font to enter the detailed view mode. You can preview the dimension of the font. By clicking the circle icon next to the font's title, you can activate it immediately. In this way, you can enable the font in Eagle without installing it.
