Quickly Add Images to Eagle

  • Import images
    After installing Eagle, you can start to add your images to Eagle by dragging and dropping images to Eagle.

  • Drag to save images

  • ALT + Right-click
    Sometimes the websites disable from saving images, so you can't use "right-click to save" or "drag to save". At this time, you can press "ALT + Right-click" on the image and Eagle will help you save the image.
  • Batch Save
    If you want to save plenty of images from a website, you can use the  "Batch Save" feature. Eagle will list all the images on the website so you can pick the images you want and Eagle will save them.

Organize Method

  • Folder
    The folders are the most common management tool, you can create folders and subfolders in the Eagle's left sidebar.
  • Smart Folder
    The smart folder is an advanced version of the folder. You can save the trouble of importing or categorizing images, the system will automatically add the images to the smart folder according to the conditions you set.

  • Tags
    The tag is an indispensable feature in Eagle, it's a tool for “organizing” and “searching”. If the tags are set well, they will be helpful in organizing and searching and you can have better productivity and user experience.

  • Title
    By downloading the images through the Chrome browser extension, the image's title will be recorded the annotation set by the image on the website by default (for example the alt attribute of the img tag). As the main description of the image, you can also name this field separately.

  • Notes
    In addition to the notes that come with the image, if the image or file has more detailed information, you can also write it in the comment field.

  • URL

  • Rating
    The "Rating" feature allows you to rate the images you like/dislike or important/unimportant and you can use the shortcut key number 1-5. The "Rating" can also be a filter condition, which helps you to find the images you need quickly.

Search image

  • Keyword Search
    Eagle can search for multiple keywords, by default, image that meet any of the keywords will be listed in the search result. For advanced search, you could also exclude specific keywords with ' - ' symbol. For example, you can type in 'ads facebook -newyear' to find items that are downloaded from facebook previously, with tags 'ads' labeled, while irrevelant to 'newyear'.

  • Quickly Jump to Another Folder
    As the number of assets you collected increases, you may have tens, hundreds, or even thousands of folders, tags, subfolders in the library. to spot out a specific folder in tons of categories, you may take advantage of the Go To Folder feature. Click the 'Go To Folder' button to the top left, or press ⌘ + J (macOS) / Ctrl + J (Windows) shortcut key to search folders via the name or keywords.   • Fuzzy Search
    In the  "Go To Folder" function, a powerful feature, the "Fuzzy Search" is also introduced, the feature allows you to find exact results even with incomplete keyword inputs. For example, let's say you have a folder named 'Refridgerator' and you want to find it out, you can enter  'regrtr',  'rfgrt', 'rgt'  and the correct folder will still be shown in the list!

  • Color
    Color analysis is also one of the most important features in Eagle, with the feature, you can pick a color you want to search, Eagle will find out all assets with similar colors within your collection.

  • Shape
    You can use the shape filter to find images in a specific shape. By default, Eagle provides four kinds of shapes as filter conditions.

  • Type
    You can also use type, i.e. file formats as a filter condition, for example, find all png files, all psd files in the collection.
