Interface - Image List

The List is the center part of Eagle's interface, it displays the images of the selected folder. You can custom the image information to be displayed and layout according to your needs.


Layout

 Eagle offers two layouts, namely   "Justified layout" and "Waterfall layout" , you can select a suitable layout based on your needs. Click for details.

  • Justified
    The visual alignment line is quite neat and suitable for the situation of images sorting and searching.
  • Waterfall 
    The visual alignment line is irregular and the search burden is large, but it's suitable for long-time previews of images of different sizes.

Order By

Right-click on the blank space in the List and select the  "Order By" , then you can arrange images in the way you wish.Interface - Image List - Knowledge Base | Eagle App


Show Item Info

Right-click on the blank space in the list and select the "Show Columns" , you can then opt to display/not to display the additional info of the image.Interface - Image List - Knowledge Base | Eagle App


Single select

Select a  "single" image to view the specified image and edit its information.

  • Left click to select image
  • Select next/previous image using arrow key

Multiple select

Select "multiple" images to view, create folders, rename or edit information to the specified images.

  • Select area
  • ⌘ + click
  • Hold Shift + left-click

Detail Mode

Enter the  "Detail Mode" from the List mode.

  • Double-click an image
  • Enter

Preview

You can use the "Preview" function when you want to browse the detail of the image but don't want to enter the detail mode.

  • Select the image and press the "Space" button

Open Items in New Window

When you need to view multiple images at the same time, you can open the image in a new window. The window can be adjusted to the display ratio and pin the widow(s) on top. Click for details.

  • Right-click the image and select "Open Item in New Window"
  • ⌘ + O
  • ⌘ + Double-click

Add Images to the Folder

Drag and drop the images to the folder or right-click the image and select "Add to Folders" > "Choose Folders" to add images to the folder.Interface - Image List - Knowledge Base | Eagle App


Select Images to Create a Folder

You can use this feature to add images you selected to a newly created folder.Interface - Image List - Knowledge Base | Eagle App


Copy the File Path

Right-click the image and select "Copy as Path", the path of the folder's directory will be copied in the clipboard.

Presentation Mode

You can use "Presentation Mode" when you need to browse or present images in full screen, the Presentation Mode can be accessed in the following way:

  • Right-click the image and select "Enter Presentation Mode"
  • F5

Reverse Image Search

In the case you forget where the image came from, you can use the "Reverse Image Search" function to find similar images using the search engines. For more information, please see here.

Thumbnail Background

If the image's background-color is too close to the Eagle's theme color, making it incomprehensible, you can change the background color of thumbnails. Right-click the image, select "More" > "Custom Background" and choose the how you wish the background to be displayed. You can see here for more details.

Combine Images

You can merge images selected in Eagle  You can choose images you want to combine and create a simple montage, right-click the image and select  "More" > "Combine Images" ,then select order of the images. Click for detailsInterface - Image List - Knowledge Base | Eagle App


Remove Images From The Folder

Remove images from the current folder/category, while keep the image file.

  • Right-click the images and select "Remove from this Folder"
  • ⌘ + Delete

Delete Images

  • Drag and drop the images to the trash
  • Right-click the images and select "Move to Trash"
  • ⌘ + Up + Delete

Back to Top

Click the "Back to Top" button to go to the top of the list.
