I can't open Eagle, it stuck in the "Initializing..." state

Windows 7

This situation may be caused by that the device doesn't have Microsoft's .NET Framework package installed, and this problem can be solved by installing the package.

Download .NET Framework 4.5

Window 10

The reason may be related to the user permission setting. We need to modify the registry, as follows:

  1. Click on the Win button in the lower-left corner to search for "regedit".
  2. Click "regedit" to run the registry modification tool.

  3. Go to the EnableLUA to modify the directory
Find the directory on the left and click sequentially  HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE > SOFTWARE > Microsoft > Windows > CurrentVersion > Policies > System or directly enter Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System in the path column.
  4. Modify the EnableLUA setting.
Find the EnableLUA in the list, open it and change the value from 1 to 0, then restart the device, re-open Eagle and try to see if the problem has been solved.
