What's different between smart folder and folder?
Smart folder will automatically put the eligible images in this folder according to the filtering conditions you provide and update in all times. You can enjoy lifelong convenience with only one setting.
Using this feature will help you manage images more efficiently, so let's get started!
Create a smart folder
- Find the "+" button in the smart folder block on the left column and click.
- Enter the smart folder name and filter conditions in a new window.
- Click "Create Folder" to complete the creation
After creating a smart folder, Eagle will according to your filter condition to classify. As shown at the following sample:
You can set multiple combinations of conditions in the smart folder. The conditions can be either AND or OR. AND means all conditions must be met, and OR means any condition is met. The following is descriptions of the types of filter conditions.
- Creation time
Filter images by time span, It can be used like "The images I collected yesterday", "The picture I collected during 2017-07-01 to 2017-07-15", "The images I collected in 2016".
Filter images by color. Color filter conditions can be divided into "completely the same" and "similar", you can choose one based on your demands.
Filter images by name. The filter conditions can be divided into "include", "not included", "begin with", "end with", "completely equal". The default is to include text, you can find the image and its name includes a keyword.
- Source URL
Filter images by source URL. Usually, the image downloaded by "Browser Extension" will accompany with the URL. It can be used like "My images in Dribble", "Pinterest favorite images".
- Width, Height
Filter images by size. The width and height can be "equal", "less than", "greater than", and "custom range". it can be used like "iPhone screenshot", "Webpage screenshot", "HD background image".
- Film format
Filter images by format, you can quickly filter out a certain format of images. It can be used like "GIF", "PSD", and usually be used with other conditions.
Filter images by tag. Supporting multiple tags filter, it can be used like "cute", "Banner".
How to use
Just as mentioned above, we can use a variety of conditions together. For example, if I want to quickly create a classification of the "Ban" and "Red", we can use "tag" and "color" to filter images.
